ACCOMMODATION

The Coach House Nursing Home stands in ten acres of garden, surrounded pasture land. This provides a peaceful and tranquil setting for those service users that reside at the home.

The Coach House Nursing Home can accommodate a maximum of 17 service users, single and double rooms available as required. The double rooms are usually occupied by married couples or siblings.

Most of the rooms have en suite facilities. All the rooms are centrally heated and fitted with an emergency call bell system.

Service users are allowed to furnish their own rooms if they wish and are encouraged to bring their own personal items that will remind them that The Coach House Nursing Home is now their home.

Pets can be allowed into the home by negotiation and service users can have their own phone line if they wish.

The service user at The Coach House Nursing Home is encouraged to maintain the standards of independence they would if living in their own homes which does include a degree of risk taking.

There is a lounge, sitting areas and extensive gardens allowing the service users to entertain family, friends and visitors, or to enjoy a quiet moment on their own. Of course, there is always the privacy of their own room if that is their choice. There is a television and radio in the lounge if anyone wishes to be entertained.

The dining room is used by the service users as meal times can be an important time for them to socialize. Meals can be served in the service users’ room if this is their choice. We provide good homemade meals, diabetics and specialised food is catered for.

We have been awarded a five-star food hygiene rating.
